On Monday, March 21, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was pleased to present songwriter Sam Davis in concert, along with a steller cast of singers, including Kate Baldwin, Andy Mientus, Michele Ragusa, Lauren Kennedy, Heidi Blickenstaff, Danny Burstein, Philip Chaffin, Edward Hibbert, David Hyde Pierce, Matthew Scott, Chris Sieber, Jim Stanek, Bobby Steggert and Will Swenson.

Never one to refuse a complimentary martini or two at Sardi's (remember that the next time you spot me spreading an extra shmear of that cheddar cheese concoction over crackers at the upstairs bar), I too was invited to attend the presentation of three songs from the upcoming musical version of Shrek that Michael Riedel wrote about with his usual passion and adoration for the art of musical theatre in his column a few weeks ago and again yesterday morning.

On October 10th, musicians from around the country joined at Birdland to celebrate The Matthew Shepard Foundation with music and fun. The cast included Randi Driscoll and Noah Heldman, Jason & deMarco, Max von Essen, Christopher Sieber, Billy Stritch, Scott Nevins, David Gurland and host Jim Caruso.

The 4th Annual Broadway Under the Stars free outdoor concert took place on Monday, June 13th featuring a plethora of Broadway's leading men and we were there to capture them all!
