Alternative rock outfit Viva Death has announced they will release their first new album in eight years through Functional Equivalent Records. The 'Illuminate' LP features 14 tracks, set for release in late October. Ahead of that, the band presents the lead single 'Ready to Go'.

Foo Fighters have confirmed an array of additional support acts for the upcoming North American leg of the tour. Friends joining the Foos on the rock and roll stage include FF influences Dinosaur Jr., current tour mates The Struts, indie darlings  Speedy Ortiz,  powerhouse rock quartet The Beaches, and  handpicked bad ass local bands The Monsieurs,  Melkbelly, and Touched by Ghoul. The Joy Formidable and Gang of Youths will join for the tour's fall arena dates.

Foo Fighters' ninth studio album Concrete and Gold has entered the Billboard 200 at #1, with sales of nearly 130,000 copies in the first week since its September 15 release on Roswell Records/RCA Records.
