Chris Rock is assembling an all-star comedy cast for his forthcoming movie Death At A Funeral - both Martin Lawrence and Tracy Morgan have signed on to the project. The film, a remake of a 2007 British movie of the same name, revolves around a dysfunctional family which comes together for the patriarch's funeral, only to be rocked by gay revelations from the deceased's alleged former lover.

Variety is reporting that Neil LaBute has signed a two-picture deal with Screen Gems. The North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival announces that Saturday Night Live writer Bryan Tucker has been added to the line-up of the 9th Annual Festival. Tucker is performing Saturday, February 21, at 9:00 p.m. at the ArtsCenter Mainstage. Tickets cost $14 for general admission, $12 for Friends of The Arts Center, and $10 for students. The ArtsCenter is located at 300-G East Main St. in Carrboro.

Sundance Institute announced today the lineup of films selected to screen in the U.S. and World Cinema Dramatic and Documentary Competitions for the 25th Sundance Film Festival. In addition to the four Competition categories, the Festival presents films in five out-of-competition sections to be announced tomorrow. The 2009 Sundance Film Festival runs January 15-25 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Sundance, Utah.
