Adapted for the stage by Jeffrey Fiske and Max McLean, the popular production of C. S. Lewis' THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS will get two Halloween performances on Saturday, October 31, at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Herberger Theater Center.

THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, the entertaining hit production is being presented by Fellowship for the Performing Arts at The Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe, Phoenix, AZ on Friday, October 30th, Saturday, October 31st and Sunday, November 1st. The play has enjoyed sold-out runs in Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C. and now makes its way to Phoenix.

LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's new programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences, has announced the remaining productions of its 2009-2010 season: the New York premiere of GRACELAND, a new play by Ellen Fairey, directed by Henry Wishcamper and the world premiere of ON THE LEVEE, a musical play conceived and directed by Lear deBessonet with book by Marcus Gardley and music and lyrics by Todd Almond.

Written by Donald Margulies and sponsored by Barnes & Thornburg, this play for all ages starts Thursday, October 15 and runs through November 8, 2009, with the exception of Friday, October 16, when there will be no performance.

The Chicago Tribune's Chris Jones is reporting in his 'Theater Loop', that The Bank of America Theatre in Chicago's Loop, which the hit musical JERSEY BOYS calls home, was evacuated around 9 p.m. Tuesday night after police found two suspicious boxes with notes attached in the alley outside the theater.
