Fifth Annual Colorado New Play Summit Opens This Week

Preparations are being finalized and excitement is building as the Denver Center Theatre Company prepares to welcome nearly 300 theatre professionals and press representatives from across the nation to Denver and the 2010 Colorado New Play Summit this weekend.

THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, the entertaining hit theatre production is being presented by Fellowship for the Performing Arts at the Paramount Theatre, 713 Congress Avenue in Austin, TX on Saturday, February 6 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. only. The play has enjoyed sold-out runs in Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C. and now makes its way to Austin.

RED Starring Alfred Molina & Eddie Redmayne Set for Broadway Run; Previews Begin March 11; Opens April 1

The critically acclaimed Donmar Warehouse production of RED, a new American play by John Logan about the master of twentieth century abstract impressionism, Mark Rothko, will open on Broadway on Thursday, April 1 for a limited 15-week engagement at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue), it was announced today by producer Arielle Tepper Madover. Previews will begin on Thursday, March 11.

Lewis novel about spiritual warfare from a demon's point of view will begin performances at the Westside Theatre, 407 West 43rd Street, New York, April 15. Opening is set for May 3. Tickets go on sale on Tues., Feb. 16. Tickets are currently on sale through July 4.
