The audience leapt to its feet at curtain call to cheer on the cast - and it was well deserved. 'The Heart of Robin Hood' is a great, feel-good night out at the theatre - with a fun twist on the story you probably already know and love.

David Mirvish and National Artists Management Company have just announced that they will present the Broadway premiere of The Heart of Robin Hood, written by David Farr, featuring original music performed on-stage by Parsonsfieldand directed by acclaimed Icelandic theatrical artist Gísli Örn Gardarsson. The production will open on Broadway on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Marquis Theatre (1535 Broadway). Previews begin on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. The production will play a strictly limited engagement through Sunday, August 23, 2015.

The production is written by David Farr and directed by Gisli Örn Gardarsson and begins performances Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Loeb Drama Center, Cambridge and runs through Sunday, January 19, 2014. It will be available for press viewing from Wednesday, December 18 at 7:30pm.
Darcie Roberts, who played the title role in the U.S. first national tour of 'Thoroughly Modern Millie,' will serve as one of the professional guest teaching artists for the TexARTS summer musical theatre intensive, 'Thoroughly Modern Millie' (June 10 - 30). Students enrolled in this three-week, production-based intensive will rehearse while receiving instruction in acting, dance and voice from a team of professional instructors and special Broadway guests. Rehearsals culminate in a public performance on June 29-30.

Move over Susan Boyle; the next UConn Idol will soon have supreme bragging rights on campus. The UConn Idol competition will culminate in a challenge round among the 11 finalists on Thursday, April 15, at Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts in Storrs, sponsored by Coca-Cola. Initial auditions took place on Monday, March 1, in front of a live audience in the Student Union Theatre.
