Chris Cooper to Star in Discovery's First Scripted Mini-Series KLONDIKE

On the heels of filming 'August, Osage County,' Academy Award Winner Chris Cooper will star in Discovery Channel's first-ever, scripted mini-series titled KLONDIKE (wt), playing the role of Father Judge. Cooper won both the Academy Award and the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in 2002 for the film 'Adaptation.' Additionally, Cooper's storied career includes roles in films such as 'American Beauty,' 'The Bourne Identity,' 'The Patriot,' 'Breach' and 'Syriana'.

Tickets for Broadway's Orphans, starring Alec Baldwin and Shia LaBeouf, will go on sale to the general public today, December 30. Lyle Kessler's play will be directed by Daniel Sullivan. This production will begin performances on March 19 and open on April 7 2013 at the Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street); this will be the first Broadway staging of the play. Frederick Zollo and Robert Cole are the producers.

Museum of the Moving Image Announces 'Looking for Love' Exhibition

With a distinctly personal voice in independent cinema, filmmaker Ira Sachs explores the universal themes of love and desire, beginning with his touching debut The Delta to his forthcoming feature Keep the Lights On. From August 25 through September 4, 2012, Museum of the Moving Image will present Looking for Love: The Films of Ira Sachs, the first comprehensive New York retrospective of Sachs's work that includes all of his feature films and a selection of short films, each followed by a Pinewood Dialogue with Sachs in person.
