Deadline reported last night that TNT has cancelled its freshman drama KING & MAXWELL, starring Jon Tenney (The Closer) and Rebecca Romijn (X-Men). The duo played private investigators Sean King and Michelle Maxwell, characters originally seen in the bestselling series of books by author David Baldacci, and developed for series by NCIS: Los Angeles creator, Shane Brennan.

To kickstart its 50th Season, Orange County's Tony Award-winning South Coast Repertory is presenting a newly-envisioned local revival of the classic 1949 Pulitzer Prize-winning play DEATH OF A SALESMAN, featuring an outstanding performance by veteran stage and screen actor Charlie Robinson in the title role. TNT's enormously popular crime-drama Major Crimes pulled in more than 5 million viewers in Live + Same Day for Monday night's second-season premiere.

Shane Brennan (NCIS: LA), who penned the pilot, and Grant Anderson (Third Watch) serve as executive producers, with Karen Spiegel (Absolute Power) as producer. Baldacci is a consultant on the series, which is slated to premiere in summer 2013.
