Artistic Director Daniel Evans today announces that the world premiere of Richard Bean's THE NAP - directed by Sheffield's Associate Director Richard Wilson - will extend its run by one week to the 2 April due to popular demand.

Former pro snooker player John Astley is among the full cast of Richard Bean's new play THE NAP, set to premiere at the Crucible Theatre starring SKINS' Jack O'Connell. The Daily Mail writes that Astley will be making his acting debut when the show begins on March 10 in Sheffield. The production, directed by Richard Wilson, runs through March 26, 2016.
John Simm will make his Sheffield Crucible stage debut as Hamlet in September 2010. The production will reunite him with Sheffield's Associate Director Paul Miller - the two last collaborated on Elling which originated at the Bush Theatre before transferring to the West End. Simm was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Actor for this role.
