Uptown Players' CATCH ME IF YOU CAN Begins 7/24

Uptown Players continues its 2015 season with the 2011 Tony nominated musical Catch Me If You Can. Based on the hit film and the incredible true story that inspired it, (Book by Terrence McNally and a swinging score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman), Catch Me If You Can, is the high-flying musical comedy about chasing your dreams and not getting caught, at the Kalita Humphreys Theater from July 24 to August 9, 2015.

RISE OF THE USHER Begins Tonight at Davenport Theatre

Rise of the Usher has elements of All About Eve as well as parallels to Shakespeare's Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet. The ambitious protagonist rises to the top of the usher anthill to achieve chief usher status. When she later transitions from her focus from career to romantic life, she learns about boldness from the heart versus ambition and realizes that different rules apply.

TADA! Youth Theater's PRINCESS PHOOEY Runs Now thru 8/1

The Drama Desk Award-Winning TADA! Youth Theater will present PRINCESS PHOOEY, an original Off-Broadway musical in its first revival, performed by the talented kids from TADA!'s Resident Youth Ensemble, for kids of all ages. Theater Resources Unlimited & The Playroom Theatre to Host July TRU Panel, 7/21

ACAPPELLA, a musical about finding your own voice, conceived by Greg Cooper, with book by Vynnie Meli, music and lyrics by The Acappella Company, direction by Lee Summers and musical direction and arrangements by Evan Feist as an Invited Selection of the 2015 New York Musical Theatre Festival. Cast Set for NANA & NUNU at Buxton Fringe

First seen at Fairfield Halls, Croydon this Easter, original children's musical Nana & Nunu - The Big Sneeze! comes to the Buxton Fringe from 22nd - 25th July and tells the tale of Nana and her cuddly, but snuffly aardvark Nunu who gets the sneezes on his birthday. Venturing across snow, sea and sky, Nana, along with grandchildren Jake and Sophie, tracks down a magical flower with the power to stop an aardvark's achoo and helps save the day.

On Monday, June 29th at 7:30 p.m. the hugely successful The Rhythms of One World 2015 Choral Festival (TROW2015) came to a close with a performance at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center.
