Lesser America (Half Moon Bay, The Bachelors, Carnival Kids, Trevor) presents the New York Premiere of IN A WORD by Lauren Yee, winner of the 2016 Francesca Primus Prize and a finalist for the ATCA/Steinberg Award. Directed by Tyne Rafaeli (The Bridges of Madison County national tour, Actually at Geffen Playhouse), previews began June 16 at Cherry Lane Theatre, where Lesser America continues its run as the inaugural Company in Residence. Opening night is slated for tonight, June 21.

California Shakespeare Theater continues its 43rd Season with the play that made Tennessee Williams famous and secured his place in the American Classic canon. The Glass Menagerie is told through the illusion of Tom Wingfield's memory as he recounts an episode from his youth.

The Montana Repertory Theatre is producing the 22nd annual Missoula Colony this summer, July 30-August 5. The Colony is a gathering of artists in support of the writer's craft. We've been hosting playwrights and theatre professionals from all over the country for the last 21 years.

Previews begin May 12 at Cherry Lane Theatre, where Lesser America is the inaugural Company in Residence. Opening set for Thursday, May 19.

This is Modern Art represents the true story of Chicago graffiti crew MUL, depicting the events leading up to and following their decision to carry out the biggest graffiti bomb of their career on the modern wing of the Art Institute of Chicago. This is Modern Art asked audiences to start a revolution, and the Chicago theatre community did- more than anyone expected.
