Yearlong Shakespeare 400 Chicago Festival Welcomes Estimated 1.1 Million

Shakespeare 400 Chicago, the yearlong festival marking the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death, will wrap up a dynamic year of programming with a full calendar of events in December, having inspired an estimated 1.1 million people to take part in 863 events at 231 locations across the city of Chicago.

Artistic Director Of Sheffield Theatres Robert Hastie Announces His Inaugural Season

Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres Robert Hastie today announces his inaugural season. The new season opens with Hastie directing William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar bringing Shakespeare back to the Crucible; this will be followed in the Studio by the winner of the new annual RTST Director Award Scheme Kate Hewitt directing the regional premiere of Nina Raine's Tribes.  

LIFE IS FOR LIVING World Premiere to Celebrate Noel Coward at 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters will host the world premiere of LIFE IS FOR LIVING: CONVERSATIONS WITH COWARD, co-created by Simon Green and David Shrubsole. Starring Mr. Green with musical direction by Mr. Shrubsole, LIFE IS FOR LIVING: CONVERSATIONS WITH COWARD was researched by Jason Morell. Produced by Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford, LIFE IS FOR LIVING: CONVERSATIONS WITH COWARD begins performances on Tuesday, December 13 for a limited engagement through Sunday, January 1. Press opening is Sunday, December 18 at 7:30 PM.

Seared Presents the World Premiere of Michael Mclean's YEARS OF SUNLIGHT

Seared, in association with Theatre 503, today announces the world premiere of Years of Sunlight, a new play by Michael Mclean which opens Lisa Spirling's inaugural season as Artistic Director of Theatre 503.  The production, directed by Amelia Sears, opens on 30 January, with previews from 25 January, and runs until 18 February.

Rose Theatre, Kingston Announces Full Cast for Arthur Miller's Masterpiece, ALL MY SONS

Rose Theatre Kingston today announced the full company for its new production of Arthur Miller's All My Sons. Award-winning Michael Rudman directs David Horovitch as Joe Keller and Penny Downie as Kate Keller with Alex Waldmann (Chris Keller), Grace Carter (Lydia Lubey), Edward Harrison (George Deever), William Meredith (Frank Lubey), Alison Pargeter (Sue Bayliss), David Partridge (Jim Bayliss) and Francesca Zoutewelle (Ann Deever). The production opens on 2 November, with previews from 28 October, and runs until 19 November.

Casting Announced for Nigel Harman's Berkoff Double Bill

Shaun Dooley (Broadchurch, Cuffs, Misfits) and Emily Bruni (Peep Show, Life in Squares) are to star in a major West End season of Steven Berkoff one-act plays, Lunch and The Bow of Ulysses, directed by Nigel Harman, at Trafalgar Studios for five weeks from Thursday 6 October - Saturday 5 November.

Full Cast Announced For TRAVESTIES at Menier Chocolate Factory

The Menier Chocolate Factory today announces the full company for a major new revival of Tom Stoppard's TRAVESTIES - the first London revival in over 20 years. Patrick Marber directs Clare Foster (Cecily), Freddie Fox (Tristan Tzara), Tom Hollander (Henry Carr), Forbes Masson (Lenin), Peter McDonald (James Joyce), Amy Morgan (Gwendolen), Sarah Quist (Nadya) and Tim Wallers (Bennett). The production - which opens on 4 October, with previews from 22 September and runs until 19 November - is now completely sold out, breaking Menier box office records by becoming the first play to sell out ahead of its opening in the theatre's history.

Full Cast Announced for Touring Production of LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER

Sheffield Theatres and English Touring Theatre today announce full casting for Phillip Breen's adaptation of D.H. Lawrence's classic novel LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER, which opens at the Crucible on 26 September before a UK tour to Oxford, York, Malvern, Salisbury, Brighton and Cambridge. Breen directs a cast including Hedydd Dylan as Lady Chatterley and Jonah Russellas Mellors. The company is completed by Aretha Ayeh, Will Irvine, Ciaran McIntyre, Eugene O'Hare, David Osmond, Rachel Sanders and Alice Selwyn.

Cast Announced for Beth Steel's LABYRINTH at Hampstead Theatre

Hampstead Theatre presents the world premiere of Beth Steel's LABYRINTH, a Hampstead Theatre commission. Directed by Anna Ledwich, this compelling new thriller explores the fallout from one the most catastrophic economic crises of modern history, which brought Latin America to its knees for decades. The play runs 1 September-8 October, with press night on 7 September.
