BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON to Sell $20 First Preview Tickets Starting 8/23

The Public Theater, Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel, producers of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON are pleased to announce that in celebration of the box office opening on Monday, August 23rd they will be offering tickets for the first preview (Monday, September 20th at 7:00) for the cost of an ‘Andrew Jackson' ($20).

Oscar Noir Screens Kiss Of Death 8/23

'Kiss of Death' (1947), featuring Richard Widmark's memorable screen debut as Tommy Udo, one of the great villains of film noir, will be screened as the next feature in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' series 'Oscar Noir: 1940s Writing Nominees from Hollywood's Dark Side' on Monday, August 23, at 7:30 p.m. at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

BLOODY BLOODY Original Cast Members Barry, Young, Ramirez et al. to Transfer to Broadway this Fall

The Public Theater, Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel, producers of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON are pleased to announce the return of cast members JAMES BARRY, GREG HILDRETH, JEFF HILLER, LUCAS NEAR-VERBRUGGHE, BEN STEINFELD, MARIA ELENA RAMIREZ, KATE CULLEN ROBERTS, and EMILY YOUNG, all of whom appeared in the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production this past spring at The Public's Newman Theater.

McKenzie, Darragh, Keeley Join GLASS MENAGERIE at Taper

Judith Ivey, who plays the iconic Amanda Wingfield, will be joined by Patch Darragh as Tom, Keira Keeley as Laura and Ben McKenzie as Jim O'Connor, the Gentleman Caller, in Center Theatre Group's presentation of the Long Wharf Theatre production of 'The Glass Menagerie.' Tennessee Williams' haunting memory play begins previews on September 1 and opens September 12 with performances continuing through October 17, 2010, at the Mark Taper Forum.

Ann Sanders Returns to AVENUE Q at New World Stages Today April 5

Ann Sanders -- who enjoyed a long run as Christmas Eve in AVENUE Q during its record-breaking six-year run on Broadway -- returns to the Tony Award-winning musical to resume the role of the lovable, no-nonsense Japanese therapist starting Monday, April 5 at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St.) in Manhattan.

Feinstein and Edna Open ALL ABOUT ME at New Henry Miller's Theatre, 3/18

As previously reported, Michael Feinstein and Dame Edna have decided to collaborate on their upcoming show efforts and will jointly star in All About Me. The New York Times has reported today that All About Me shall run at the Golden Theater. Previews will begin on February 19 with an official opening night of March 18.

Broadway Star Charles Nolte Dies at 87

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune has reported that actor, director and playwright Charles Nolte died of prostate cancer last Thursday at the age of 87.

Former FINIAN'S Og Charles Davis Dies at 84

Character actor Charles Davis, who performed the role of Og in the first installment of Finian's Rainbow for over 1000 performances from 1947 - 1948 on Broadway and on tour, died of an apparent heart attack in Thousand Oaks California at 84.
