The Elektra Theatre has been specially constructed to be the new home of SILENCE! The Musical. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Diane Paulus' upcoming production of Pippin might be heading to Broadway after it plays Cambridge's American Repertory Theater in December. Now the New York Times is reporting that Broadway favorites Patina Miller, Terrence Mann, and Charlotte d'Amboise are in talks to star in the production as 'Leading Player,' 'King Charles,' and 'Fastrada' respectively. Additionally, Damon Daunno, who recenty starred in Broadway's Brief Encounter is in talks to play the leading role.
SILENCE! The Musical is celebrating Gay Pride weekend with a special added matinee performance today, June 23 at 3 PM at PS122. The cast of the smash hit show is scheduled to appear in Sunday's Pride March, which begins at noon at 36th St. & Fifth Ave. and ends at Christopher & Greenwich Streets. The cast will be bringing along fun surprise goodies to hand out to all their fans in the crowd.

Terrence Mann and Charlotte d'Amboise are bringing their popular Triple Arts musical theater workshops for young performers to National Dance Institute in New York City this summer.
SECONDARY IMPACT, a play with dance, will have an industry only invited rehearsal on Thursday, March 15 in NYC. Conceived and choreographed by JoAnn M. Hunter (ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER), the piece has music by David Dabbon (SONDHEIM AND SONDHEIM), book by Christine Toy Johnson (TRANSCENDING -THE WAT MISAKA STORY), and is directed by Tony-award winning actress, Michele Pawk. The cast includes Tony Award nominated actress Charlotte D'Amboise (A CHORUS LINE, CHICAGO), Philip Michael Baskerville (THE PRODUCERS, CATS), Brian O'Brien (CHICAGO), Deidre Goodwin (SILENCE: THE MUSICAL, A CHORUS LINE), Miquel Jarquin-Moreland ("Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close"), Dharon Jones, Kristine Bendul, Colin Bradbury, Todd Burnsed, Lisa Gajda, Liz Ramos, and Ryan Worsing. The musical Carrie made her return eagerly awaiting return to New York City last night after the show's notoriously short 1988 run on Broadway. This brand new and revised production, now playing at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street), has already extended its run, and will now play performances through April 22, 2012.
