Numerous sources are reporting that Broadway stagehands will go on strike effective 10am Saturday, November 10, 2007. The decision to walk off the job came after negotiations stalled between Theatrical Stage Employees Union/Local One and the League of American Theatres and Producers.

The Commercial Theater Institute (CTI), now in its 27th year, is currently accepting nominations for its Annual Intensive 14-Week Program, which presents hard, factual information on all aspects of commercial theatre producing including Broadway, off-Broadway and the Road, in a very intimate lecture/discussion setting. Strictly limited to 25 participants, the program begins on January 21, 2008, for 14 consecutive Monday night sessions, in the Times Square area.
