The 69th annual Edinburgh Fringe Festival will begin next week in Scotland. Opening up the Spotlites International Theatre in their new location at the corner of Hanover Street in the beautiful building of the Royal Society of Edinburgh is a new musical called, Carmen High. Carmen High is conceived and directed by Stephanie Vlahos, based on the Bizet opera, Carmen. Carmen High is a theatrical mash up of opera, hip hop, original songs, and classical music that reinvents the opera of Carmen as the real American high school experience told through the authentic voices of gifted teenage performers.

LONDON (August 2015) - Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill is delighted to celebrate its association with London's leading contemporary art gallery, Saatchi Gallery, with the launch of a new exhibition titled 'Into the Woods'. This special exhibition will be on display from 25 September and showcases the recent work of eight UK-based artists: Jonny Briggs, Grant Foster, Aly Helyer, Tom Howse, Nicholas Johnson, Emily Morey, Juliette Losq and Tom Shedden.

Hitler has to prove to his military and to his country that he can be the first leader to set foot on British soil since William the Conqueror, which was nearly a thousand years ago. Besides, he believes, he can use it as a stepping stone to Britain. The Islands are to be demilitarized and so, Charlie Smith a British Royal Navy Serviceman had to evacuate leaving his family behind.

North American Premiere of GRAND GUIGNOL Set for San Francisco's Z Space, 10/30-11/3

Andrade Events and Ottoman, Ltd. are proud to announce the North American premiere ofGRAND GUIGNOL, a horror play by Carl Grose, inspired by the Theatre du Grand Guignol and naturalistic horror stage shows that were all the rage in London and Paris in the early 20th century. Directed by Mitchell Altieri, GRAND GUIGNOL will play at Z Space (450 Florida Street, San Francisco) Wednesday, October 30 through Sunday, November 3, 2013. Rife with madness and murders, maiming and mutilation including jaw-dropping special effects and a dose of humor and satire - GRAND GUIGNOL creates the perfect Halloween experience - complete with food and drink - for a bloody good time. Scenery is designed by Charlie Smith, costumes by Thomas Marquez, lighting by Pamela Z. Gray and hair and make-up by Shae Smoot. Performances are Wednesday, October 30 through Sunday, November 3 at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. There is a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Seating options for the GRAND GUIGNOL range from "splatter zone" seats to "shock boxes" that feature a VIP experience including a pre-show dinner, unlimited champagne and Grand Guignol signature cocktails. There will be a special Halloween themed package available on October 31 that will include an after party at Inner Mission (2050 Bryant Street, San Francisco). Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) presents I Am (Not) My Mother, based on true stories from and about the women of Frederick. Written by Suzanne Beal and directed by MET Associate Artistic Director Gene Fouche the show made its World Premiere on the MET stage last July to extremely positive reviews and audience response. DC Metro Theatre Arts gave the original production four stars and Charlie Smith emplored, 'everyone go now', in his review for Want2Dish. Since the World Premiere last year the show has received new productions in Baltimore and in Philadelphia (Society Hill Playhouse). Given the tremendously positive response the play has received the Maryland Ensemble Theatre is bringing the show back for a limited run, July 12 through 21 at MET.
