The 2012 American Film Market (AFM), set for October 31-November 7 in Santa Monica will screen more than 420 motion pictures, including 77 world premieres and 306 market premieres, for thousands of film buyers and industry professionals from more than 70 countries. ABC announced today that comedian Seth MacFarlane, a two-time Emmy-award winner for his Family Guy series, will host the 85th Academy Awards on February 24. Seth McFarlane has been tapped to host the 85th Academy Awards, telecast producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced today. This will be MacFarlane's first appearance on Oscar's stage. The 85th Academy Awards will be held on Oscar Sunday, Feb 24 on the ABC television network, and will air live.

A24, a film company focused on distribution, financing and production with headquarters in New York City, announced today that the company has acquired all U.S. rights to Roman Coppola's A GLIMPSE INSIDE THE MIND OF CHARLES SWAN III.
