Acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro will officially take on the ghost-flick CRIMSON PEAK for Legendary Pictures as his next feature, Deadline reported this afternoon.
From 8-11 p.m., an encore telecast of the 1946 movie classic 'It's a Wonderful Life' (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers) delivered NBC's top total-viewer result for a Saturday night so far this season and best for an in-season Saturday since January 21 ('Betty White's 90th Birthday' and encores of 'Betty White's Off Their Rockers' and 'SVU'). From its first half-hour to its sixth, 'It's a Wonderful Life' increased its 18-49 rating by 57 percent (to a 1.1 from a 0.7) and its overall viewership by 51 percent or 1.7 million persons (to 5.1 million from 3.4 million).
