Comedy Central Renews DRUNK HISTORY & NATHAN FOR YOU

History aficionados and business experts…we give you reason to cheer. Comedy Central's acclaimed series “Drunk History” and “Nathan For You” have each been renewed for a third season, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Content Development and Original Programming, Comedy Central. These two renewals continue the #1 brand in comedy's 2014 momentum as they join the previously announced renewals of “Broad City” (more), “Kroll Show” (more), “Inside Amy Schumer,” “Review” and “Trip Tank” (more) and an extended fourth season of “Key & Peele” (more).

THE LEGO MOVIE Tops DVD & Blu-ray Sales, Week Ending 7/13

Rentrak Corporation (RENT) today announced the Top-10 DVD & Blu-ray Disc sales and rentals according to the company's Retail Essentials and Home Video Essentials tracking services which are based on estimated consumer spending per data collected for the week ending July 13, 2014.

FXX Greenlights Two More Seasons of Hit Comedy 'SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA'

FX Productions (FXP) has closed a new, three-year overall production deal with Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton and their RCG Productions in a significant pact that includes an additional two-season order of their hit FXX comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

'LEGO MOVIE' Sequel Set for May 2017

Audiences are connecting with 'The LEGO Movie' in a big way, driving the first-ever full-length theatrical LEGO adventure past $200 million in worldwide box office, less than two weeks after its record-breaking release. Today, WB has confirmed that the sequel to the film will hit theaters on May 26, 2017.

FX Picks Up Period Executioner Pilot from SONS OF ANARCHY Creator

According to Deadline, the network has ordered Sutter's latest project Imagine TV's Brian Grazer, THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER, to pilot. 'EXECUTIONER' 'tells the story of a warrior knight in King Edward III's charge who is broken by the ravages of war and vows to lay down his sword. But when that violence finds him again he is forced to pick up the bloodiest sword of all.'

FX Orders TYRANT to Series

FX has ordered TYRANT, from HOMELAND co-creators Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff and Craig Wright to series, according to Deadline. TYRANT's first season has been given a 10-episode order, which is set to debut next summer.

HORRIBLE BOSSES 2 Begins Production

Filming has begun in Los Angeles on New Line Cinema's 'Horrible Bosses 2,' directed by Sean Anders ('Sex Drive'). The follow-up to the 2011 hit comedy 'Horrible Bosses' reunites stars Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis as everyone's favorite working stiffs Nick, Dale and Kurt. Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Foxx and Kevin Spacey also reprise their starring roles, while Chris Pine and Christoph Waltz star as new adversaries standing between the guys and their dreams of success.

FX Closes First-Look Deal with Sacha Baron Cohen's Four By Two; Orders ALI G: REZURECTION for 2014

FX Productions (FXP) has closed a first-look TV deal with Sacha Baron Cohen's production company, Four By Two, and FXX has ordered Ali G: Rezurection to begin airing in early 2014. Ali G: Rezurection includes every episode of Da Ali G Show with new, original introductions starring Baron Cohen, along with the BAFTA Award winning English episodes of Da Ali G Show that never aired on American television and The Best of Ali G. The deal was announced today by Nick Grad, President of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions and Eric Schrier, President of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions.
