The Theatre School at DePaul University will present A WRINKLE IN TIME, by Madeleine L'Engle, adapted by John Glore, and directed by Ernie Nolan, as the first installment of the 2012-2013 Chicago Playworks for Families and Young Audiences Series. This production opens Tuesday, October 23, and runs through Saturday, December 1, 2012, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre. Performances are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10 AM and Saturdays at 2 PM. There will be no performances on November 20, 22, 23, or 24. An additional performance will be held on November 28 at 10AM.
Cincinnati Shakespeare Company will present Harper Lee's classic American novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" adapted by Christopher Sergel. This production is directed by Cincinnati Shakespeare Company Artistic Associate Sara Clark and features Bruce Cromer, Darnell Pierre Benjamin and three young actors- Alyssa Mehnert, Jack Johnson & Noah Lentini. The book is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and The MainStreet Theatre Company was awarded a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts to help support the production. Performances run from tonight, May 5th through May 20th at Rancho Cucamonga's Lewis Family Playhouse in the Victoria Gardens Cultural Center. The adaptation is by John Glore, and it will be directed by Robert Castro.
