Good Grief, it's twice the fun! The holiday sell-out, A Charlie Brown Christmas, is back and playing in a special double bill feature with You're a Good Man Charlie Brown.

This full-length version of the classic animated PEANUTS special “It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” includes the bonus cartoon, “You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown,” featuring the Great Pumpkin, airing FRIDAY, OCT. 26 (8:00–9:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. It's a spooktacular Halloween countdown on ABC as the network's comedies, “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors,” “Dancing with the Stars” and “America's Funniest Home Videos” all celebrate with special programming leading up to the holiday. The week of Oct. 29, frightening events take place on “General Hospital.” On Halloween, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” airs the13th Annual Half & Half Halloween Costume Pageant as part of the evening's festivities.  Classic Halloween specials “It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” and “Toy Story OF TERROR!” also return for encore performances.

Broadway stars Jared Gertner and Rory O'Malley have joined the previously announced Skylar Astin, Barrett Foa, Carly Hughes, and Tracie Thoms for a one night only concert/staged reading of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown that will benefit PAWS/LA, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit agency serving people and pets in need now celebrating its 30th Anniversary. With book, music, and lyrics by Clark Gesner and directed by Randy Brenner, the musical director is Jake Anthony and Andrew Carlberg serves as producer. 

PAWS/LA, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit agency serving people and pets in need, will present a one night only concert/staged reading of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. With book, music, and lyrics by Clark Gesner and directed by Randy Brenner, this benefit event is set to feature Broadway stars (in alphabetical order) Skylar Astin (Spring Awakening), Barrett Foa (Avenue Q, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Mamma Mia!), Carly Hughes (Chicago, Pippin, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Ghost the Musical, The Book of Morman, Ragtime), Tracie Thoms (Rent, Falsettos), and more to be announced. Musical director is Jake Anthony and Andrew Carlberg is the producer.

A purple crayon wielding adventurer, a dancing beagle and an intrepid young aviator will fuel a season of stories for young audiences when Northwestern University's 2018-2019 Imagine U season lifts off Sept. 29 at the Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts.

One of the most sought-after soundtracks in the beloved collection of music from the iconic Peanuts animated TV specials, It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is being made available for the first time ever on Friday, October 5 via Craft Recordings. Featuring music by GRAMMY®-winning composer/performer Vince Guaraldi, the CD package includes a new introduction from the TV show's executive producer Lee Mendelson and insightful liner notes by Derrick Bang, Peanuts historian and author of Vince Guaraldi at the Piano.

The Magik Theatre will present three shows at the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre (226 N. St. Mary's St.) in its 2018-2019 Season. The Magik Theatre has produced shows at the venue since spring 2015, and historically has presented two shows a year, one during the holidays and one in the summer months. This year, the theatre expands its programming to include a Spring Break performance. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, September 7 at 10AM.

Just in time for the holiday season, the Peanuts gang will be coming to Stifel Theatre (formerly Peabody Opera House) on Thursday, December 6

Award-winning American musicals, bold interpretations of "Jane Eyre" and "Mary Stuart" and a timeless story of a boy and his purple crayon are among the highlights of Northwestern University's Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts' 2018-2019 season.

Clark Gesner's You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown first opened on Broadway in 1967, based on the Peanuts comic strip characters created by Charles M. Schulz. Charlie Brown (Cameron Kirby), Snoopy (Ellie Campbell) and friends are brought to life in this revival by Bare Productions directed by Dominic Lewis.

Ovens Auditorium will host 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' on Sunday, December 16 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, at all Ticketmaster outlets or at the Bojangles' Coliseum Box Office located at 2700 E. Independence Blvd. Tickets cost between $25 and $65 (plus applicable service charges).

This holiday season, Rosemont Theatre will feature six spectacular Christmas shows, starting on December 1 and ending December 22. All productions will take place at the Rosemont Theatre (5400 N. River Road). Tickets go on sale Friday, July 27 at 10am via Ticketmaster and can also be purchased at the box office.

'Tis the season to celebrate as A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage brings holiday cheer to Cincinnati! This brand new touring production of A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage by Charles M. Schulz features everyone's favorite Peanuts gang - Linus, Lucy, Snoopy, Sally, and more, all led by the lovable Charlie Brown - as they discover the true meaning of Christmas. When Charlie Brown becomes discouraged by the materialism of the season, Lucy convinces him to direct the neighborhood Christmas play. In typical Charlie Brown fashion, things go awry when he selects a tiny fir tree for the production. It's up to Linus to save the day and remind everyone of the real message of the holiday.  

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park is now selling single tickets for all of the 12 season's productions, including the highly anticipated world premiere of CINCINNATI KING, a musical about Cincinnati's historic King Records, and the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit from the creator of Hamilton, IN THE HEIGHTS. The season will open with a thrilling production of Stephen King's MISERY on Sept. 1.

For all the bad in this country right now, there are still things that bring us happiness and joy. The musical You're a Good Man Charlie Brown is a prime example of how innocent children and their pets can make you remember that not everything is bad in the world. How many times have we thought that Snoopy would catch the Red Baron or that Charlie Brown would win that baseball game? Yes, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown is the type of show we need to see right now to give us something to root for in this country.

Longing for laughter, drama and the nostalgia of childhood? Well, good grief. And good news!
