The Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival has awarded Charles Leipart as the winner of the 2016 Best One-Act Play Contest.  His winning play "Cream Cakes In Munich" will be given a staged reading as part of the festival and the play will be published in Bayou Magazine.

Voting has opened for the 2015 BroadwayWorld New Jersey Regional Awards! Check out the latest live stats as of November 27th. Nominations were reader-submitted and after the nomination period ended, BroadwayWorld's local editors proofed the list for eligibility and errors. Voting runs through December 31.

'Swimming at the Ritz' written by Charles Leipart and directed by SuzAnne Barabas stars Judith Hawiking and Christopher Daftsios. This is a must-see theatrical event that chronicles the fascinating life of Pamela Churchill Hayward Harriman.

'Swimming at the Ritz' opens at New Jersey Repertory in Long Branch on January 8th and will run through February 1st. We had the chance to interview the playwright for the show, Charles Leipart.

New Jersey Repertory Company, located at 179 Broadway in Long Branch, will present the U.S. Premiere of Swimming at the Ritz by Charles Leipart, which is based on the real life events of socialite Pamela Churchill Hayward Harriman, who was appointed U.S. Ambassador to France in 1993 by President Bill Clinton.

"Me and Miss Monroe" starring Rachel York as Marilyn Monroe, features a book and lyrics by Charles Leipart and music by William Goldstein. "Me and Miss Monroe" was directed at AMAS Musical Theatre by John Rando, choreographed by Christopher Gatelli, and presented in association with Chase Mishkin.
