Independent Shakespeare Co. (ISC), producers of the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival, presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL WITH CHARLES DICKENS.

As we approach the 50th Anniversary of the passage of New York City's Landmarks Law in 2015, it is especially timely that we have the privilege to announce Meenakshi Srinivasan, Chair of the Landmarks Preservation Commission, as the Honorary Chair of A Christmas Carol at the Merchant's House Benefit Gala. The Merchant's House was the first building designated a landmark in the Borough of Manhattan at the inaugural meeting of the Landmarks Preservation Commission in September 1965.

Off Sides Entertainment, Inc. has announced that after the critically-acclaimed eight-month, off-Broadway run and first national tour of their interactive, improvised musical, THE GREATEST PIRATE STORY NEVER TOLD!, their merry band of singing pirates will return to the Snapple Theater Center with an all new production: THE GREATEST PIRATE HOLIDAY SPECTACULARRR! The production will open on Saturday, December 20th at 11:00 a.m. for a strictly limited holiday engagement of only ten performances. Co-authors Christopher and Rick Leidenfrost-Wilson will direct.

Due to popular demand, the Arden Theatre Company announces a one week extension of Great Expectations, based on the book by Charles Dickens and adapted by Gale Childs Daly. Great Expectations, originally scheduled to close on December 14, 2014, now runs through December 21, 2014 at the Arden Theatre Company, 40 N. 2nd Street.

The Winthrop Playmakers have announced their hilarious holiday production of the full length comedy Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!) by John K. Alvarez, Michael Carleton, and James FitzGerald with an original song by Will Knapp. Winthrop resident and long-time Playmaker Anthony J. Internicola will direct with stage management by Wes Toma-Lee.

During its special holiday engagement at the Barrow Street Theatre, 27 Barrow Street, 'Swamp Juice' will offer post-show workshops on the weekends that teach parents and their kids how to recycle everyday household items into richly detailed shadow puppets. Jeff Achtem, the internationally acclaimed puppet innovator from Melbourne Australia, leads these hands-on workshops on three Saturdays -- December 6, 13 and 27 and one Sunday -- December 21.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL, a cherished tradition that has become Chicago's definitive family holiday production, will be presented from November 18 through December 23, 2014 at Drury Lane Theatre for Young Adults, 100 Drury Lane. The joyful Charles Dickens classic, which has played for more than 25 years on the Drury Lane stage, is directed by Scott Calcagno (A Christmas Carol and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Drury Lane Theatre, Legally Blonde at The Civic Theatre, and Grease at The Long Lake Theatre). Over 30 colorful Dickensian characters are brought to life on stage in this uplifting tale of hope and redemption.

The College of DuPage Theater Department presents Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol," adapted by William J. Norris and directed by COD Director of Theater Connie Canaday Howard, at the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) Nov. 28-30. This marks the 14th time the Department has presented this beloved tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and the true meaning of the Holiday season."

The well-loved tale of the penny-pinching miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, and the awakening of his long-forgotten festive spirit is a seasonal tradition for many. Sol Children Theatre will revisit Charles Dickens' ghostly tale of the Past, Present, and Future in an exciting new musical adaptation of the timeless classic. Staying true to the original text, this version of A Christmas Carol - A Musical to Raise the Spirits, with book and lyrics by Chris Blackwell and music by Piers Chater Robinson, draws upon Dickens' themes of time, family, and society's ills. The production will open on December 5th and run through December 21st at Sol Theatre in Boca Raton.

The University of Montana will present Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, a fresh twist on the story of literature's most famous penny-pincher. Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol runs in the Montana Theatre of the Performing Arts and Radio/Television Center on campus November 25, 29-30, and December 2-6, 2014.

The Nebraska Theatre Caravan returns to Easton with its delightful stage production of Charles Dickens' family-friendly holiday classic A Christmas Carol, playing the State Theatre on Thursday, December 11.
