Virginia Stage Company will introduce another original work for its second Season 38 production - a brand new, music-driven adaptation of Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist that takes audiences on a gritty journey of hope and the search for identity, all while exploring what it means to be born into a certain class.
Lantern Theater Company continues its 2016/17 season with the Philadelphia premiere of An Iliad, written by Lisa Peterson and Tony Award-winning actor Denis O'Hare and based on Robert Fagles' acclaimed translation of Homer's Iliad. M. Craig Getting directs a cast that includes Barrymore Award-winners Peter DeLaurier and Liz Filios; Filios also serves as co-composer, working with sound designer Michael Hahn to create the evocative original music that scores the production. SCROOGE THE MUSICAL opens at Artisan Center Theater on Friday, November 18, 2016 and runs through Friday, December 23, 2016. The 196 seat theater-in-the-round is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst.
