Geva Theatre Center's Artistic Director Mark Cuddy and Executive Director Christopher Mannelli are proud to announce the 11 major productions and events of the much anticipated 2017-2018 Season, the non-profit theatre's 45th year of making professional theatre of a national standard in Rochester.

Walnut Street Theatre's 2016-2017 Independence Studio on 3 season concludes with an electrifying tribute to an all-American master of song, Jerry Herman, in JERRY'S GIRLS. Directed and choreographed by Ellie Mooney, the production begins with previews on April 4th, opens on April 6th and continues through July 2nd in the Walnut's Independence Studio on 3.  

Get ready for musical adventure at WST for Kids as Skippyjon Jones follows his dreams center stage! This lively Siamese kitten, whose ears are big and whose dreams are bigger, will capture the hearts of kids and their grown-up friends in an hour-long musical about the power of imagination. Skippyjon Jones runs from March 31 to April 22 at Walnut Street Theatre, and BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the cast in costume below!

Independent Shakespeare Co. (ISC), presenters of the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival announce the west coast premiere of  THE SNOW GEESE by Sharr White (The Other Place), directed by Independent Shakespeare Co.'s Managing Director David Melville.  THE SNOW GEESE will begin previews on Saturday, March 11, will open on Friday, March 17 at 7:30pm and performs through Sunday, April 9 at Independent Studio in the Atwater Crossing Arts + Innovation Complex, 3191 Casitas Ave., #168 in Atwater Village.

Lake Country Playhouse announced its 2017-2018 Season, which will feature a six play Main Series, four play Youth Series, and a special concert event.

Berkshire Theatre Group announces the final production of its upcoming 2017 Summer Season will be Mark Medoff's Tony, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk Award-winning play, Children of a Lesser God, which will begin performances on Thursday, June 22 at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage. Opening night is set for Saturday, June 24 at 8pm.

The Shaw Festival introduces a new annual holiday tradition to Niagara-on-the-Lake: Artistic Director Tim Carroll's fanciful production of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol previews November 15, opens November 25 and runs through December 23 at the Royal George Theatre.

Producer Lawrence Rosner will present the New York premiere of the new musical that will unleash your inner hound dog, Attack of the Elvis Impersonators, with book, music and lyrics by Lory Lazarus. 

Artists Repertory Theatre is partnering with local arts advocacy non-profit Isinglass to offer Egg, the organization's three year-old summer theatre leadership academy. Egg is an intensive seven-week program that teaches high school students the art and business of producing their own theatrical production. This summer 2017 program concludes with a week-long planning session for students to develop theatre and arts advocacy projects which they implement in their own schools during the following school year.

WaterTower Theatre Artistic Director Joanie Schultz today announced casting and creative team details for the Regional Premiere of Scott Carter's The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens, and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord, directed by Emily Scott Banks. Discord will run April 14-May 7, 2017, in the Canterbury Family Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre. The cast features Ian Ferguson as Thomas Jefferson, John-Michael Marrs as Charles Dickens, and Jeremy Schwartz as Count Leo Tolstoy.

Primary Stages has announced its complete 2017/18 Season, which will kick off in Fall 2017 with THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO THOMAS JEFFERSON, CHARLES DICKENS AND COUNT LEO TOLSTOY: DISCORD, written by Scott Carter ('Real Time with Bill Maher') and directed by Kimberly Senior (Disgraced).

The Guthrie Theater today announced seven of the nine productions to be offered as part of the theater's 2017-2018 subscription season, including Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and Todd Kreidler's Guess Who's Coming to Dinner on the Wurtele Thrust Stage, and Lillian Hellman's Watch on the Rhine, Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit, Danai Gurira's Familiar, Kia Corthron's world premiere adaptation of Ibsen's An Enemy of the People and Matthew Lopez's The Legend of Georgia McBride on the McGuire Proscenium Stage.
