LOW DOWN DIRTY BLUES Set As Final Selection For 2009-2010 Northlight Season

Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans announce the final selection for the 2009-2010 Northlight Season, the world premiere of Low Down Dirty Blues, by Randal Myler and Dan Wheetman, the creators of It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues and Fire on the Mountain. The production will feature two-time Jeff Award winner Mississippi Charles Bevel.

Photo Flash: Crossroads' IT AIN'T NOTHIN' BUT THE BLUES Opening Night

Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues was originally produced by in 1998 and went directly from Crossroads to New York where it was nominated for four Tony Awards including Best Musical. Opening with African chant and moving through some three dozen musical numbers, this rousing show traces the roots of the blues-America's cultural treasure.
