MOTOWN comes to town and Trustus continues its run of FUN HOME!

Sumter and WOW close their spring shows while Trustus' FUN HOME continues its run.

It's a busy first weekend of spring as Workshop bids farewell to BOEING-BOEING, WOW's BROTHER keeps rolling, and Sumter and Trustus open their next offerings!

Trustus Theatre continues its dedication to bringing important theatre to Columbia with their production of Fun Home, an acclaimed and award-winning Broadway musical to their Thigpen Main Stage this spring. The musical play is a masterful expansion of Alison Bechdel's graphic memoir of the same name and is a play about being able to live in your truth, whatever it may be. This musical will open on Friday, March 23 and will run through Saturday, April 14, 2018.

It's a busy weekend around the capitol city with an opening at Town, closings at CCT, Chapin, and Trustus, and a limited engagement in the USC Lab!

Trustus Theatre is producing three world premiere shows on their Main Stage this season, and the first of these exciting productions is finally here: A Christmas Miracle at the Richland Fashion Mall. This show by Columbians and for Columbians opens on the Trustus Theatre's Thigpen Main Stage today, December 1 and runs through Saturday, December 16, 2017. What could possibly go wrong when five college kids break into an abandoned, secluded cabin in the woods, especially when nobody else knows where they are? Find out at Trustus Theatre this October as the hit show Evil Dead, The Musical returns to the Thigpen Main Stage. Trustus Theatre brings Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Playwright Robert Schenkkan's newest political thriller play, Building the Wall, to the Side Door Theatre October 6-14, 2017 for its Southeastern premiere. Directed by Jim O'Connor, this play explores the contemporary times that we live in and the potential result of our communities failing to stay vigilant and letting their voices go unheard. The first theatre in South Carolina to produce this work, Trustus is proud to also offer two performances with Spanish supertitles. One last blast of summer on Total Eclipse Weekend in Columbia with a one-night-only event from The Jasper Project and a special encore run at Town Theatre!

Trustus Theatre brings 2016 Playwrights' Festival Winner Black Super Hero Magic Mama to the Thigpen Mainstage this August in its East Coast Premiere. Black Super Hero Magic Mama is a play that will inspire a shift of perspective when it comes to the way that our nation views the current social situation surrounding black youth, police forces, and the commentary provided by journalists. It's last call for ROCK at Trustus!

CLOSING! Columbia Children's Theatre presents THE COMMEDIA SLEEPING BEAUTY, adapted and directed by Jerry Stevenson. The show opens Saturday, June 24 with performances at 10:30 AM and 7:00 PM and closes Sunday, June 25 at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.
