Centaur Theatre Company Presents INTIMATE APPAREL, 3/27-4/29

Centaur Theatre presents Intimate Apparel by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage. First staged in Baltimore, Maryland in 2003, this play, whose various incarnations have earned a bevy of awards, including the New York Drama Critics Circle Award, addresses race, religion, sexuality, class and time.

Centaur Theatre 2012-2013 Season to Include GOOD PEOPLE, TRAD, DANCE ME TO THE END

Centaur Theatre's 2012-2013 Season will open with the North American Premiere of an international Dance/Theatre/Music/Performance work directly from Aarhus Denmark inspired by the music and lyrics of Leonard Cohen Dance me to the end on/off Love. A Granhoj Dans creation, Oct 2 - Oct 21 and November 13 -18, 2012. Centaur follows with the Canadian Premiere of the Broadway hit comedy/drama Good People by Pulitzer Prize- winning author David Lindsay-Abaire, November 6 - December 2, 2012.

Centaur Theatre is set to present the world premiere of In Absentia by Morris Panych, recipient of numerous awards including two Governor General's Literary Awards for Drama.

Centaur Theatre Reopens SCHWARTZ'S: THE MUSICAL, 7/20-8/7

Centaur Theatre Company is pleased to bring back Season 42's blockbuster hit Schwartz's: The Musical for an exclusive 3 week-run during the summer. Schwartz's is currently playing through Saturday, May 7. A total of 21 performances will delight montrealers and tourists alike. Schwartz's: The Musical will be presented every day from Wednesday July 20 to Sunday August 7, 2011 at 8PM (except Monday July 25 and Monday August 1). Matinees will be held on Saturdays (July 23, 30 and August 6) at 2PM and on Sunday July 24, 2011 at 2PM.

Centaur And Ruby Slippers Present A BEAUTIFUL VIEW, 4/19-5/22

Centaur Theatre Company's Season 42 concludes with a serio-comic trek across the intangibles of love. The RUBY SLIPPERS THEATRE production of A BEAUTIFUL VIEW, written and directed by Daniel MacIvor, chronicles a twisting friendship between two women performed by DIANE BROWN and COLLEEN WHEELER. The National Post recently described it as, 'Magic, its short 75 minutes illuminates the lives of two women and their relationship so completely, there is no other word.'

Centaur Theatre's SCHWARTZ'S: THE MUSICAL Extends Again To 5/7

Centaur Theatre Company is pleased to announce that seven new performances have been added to the soon-to-be legendary Schwartz's: The Musical. The show will be presented again from Tuesday May 3rd to Saturday May 7th at 8PM, on Wednesday May 4th at 1PM and on Saturday May 7th at 2PM. Schwartz's smoked meat sandwiches will be sold on Wednesday May 4th from 6:30-7.:30 PM in Seagram's Gallery.

Centaur Theatre Company is pleased to announce that we have added seven new performances to the soon-to-be legendary Schwartz's: The Musical. We will be presenting the show again from Tuesday May 3rd to Saturday May 7th at 8PM, on Wednesday May 4th at 1PM on Saturday May 7th at 2PM.

SCHWARTZ'S At Centaur Theatre Almost Sold Out

On the eve of the official opening of Schwartz's: The Musical, Centaur Theatre Company is proud to announce that more than 75% of tickets to this musical meat-acular are sold, with the first two weeks of the four-week run completely sold out! The demand has been steadily increasing this past week for tickets to Centaur's latest show, running in its larger theatre, with performances ready to roll for over 400 spectators on a full-house night.

Scapegoat Carnivale Closes MEDEA, 10/30

Scapegoat Carnivale Theatre returns to the Centaur Theatre Company's Brave New Looks series after its three-time Mecca award-nominated production of Life is a Dream, to present Euripides' Medea, featuring a new translation by Andreas Apergis and Joseph Shragge. The play will be directed by Alison Darcy and Andreas Apergis, with original music by Brian Lipson, musical direction by David Oppenheim, set and costume design by Amy Keith, lighting design by David Perreault Ninacs, and production/stage management by Melanie St. Jacques. France Rolland will be playing Medea, opposite Andreas Apergis as Jason. The rest of the talented cast includes founder and former Artistic Director of the Centaur Theatre Maurice Podbrey, as well as Montreal-based actors George Bekiaris, Stefanie Buxton, Dusan Dukic, Diana Fajrajsl, Holly Gauthier Frankel, Alex Ivanovici, Gitu Jain, Melissa Trottier, Lindsay Wilson, Elijah Flomen and Thomas Rolland Apergis, and musician John Dodge.
