Under the iconic sails of the Sydney Opera House, MY FAIR LADY pairs recreations of the original vision with Direction from the original Eliza Doolittle, Dame Julie Andrews, the remaining living link to Moss Hart's (1956 Director) original production.

My Fair Lady opened at the Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House, on 30 August, 2016, and is running for a strictly limited season. This new production, which recreates the original 1956 Broadway production, is directed by the actress who created the role of Eliza Doolittle in the original production, the world-renowned actor and director Dame Julie Andrews.  BroadwayWorld brings you a first look below!

Australia's MY FAIR LADY, directed by Julie Andrews, stars British performer Alex Jennings, as Professor Higgins and the young Australian star, Anna O'Byrne, as Eliza Doolittle. The production begins performances tonight 30 August at Sydney Opera House, followed by a gala opening night on 6 September.

It was announced today that tickets for the 60th Anniversary production of Lerner and Loewe's masterpiece My Fair Lady would go on sale on 21 November. Exclusive to Sydney, My Fair Lady will play at the Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House, from 30 August, 2016 for a strictly limited season.

DANCING WITH THE DEVIL, a dynamic visual performance about an imaginary meeting between dying Russian superstar ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev and Dame Margot Fonteyn in the last years of Nureyev's life, will get its world premiere in five performances at the Lilian Baylis Studio, Sadler's Wells, from Sunday 26 June - Wednesday 29 June. A Woman of No Importance, Oscar Wilde's stylish comedy that exposes the cynicism and hypocrisy that underlies high "society", begins previews Sunday, May 29 at the Festival Theatre. This dangerous drama, directed by Eda Holmes, is the fourth major Wilde play to be presented under Artistic Director Jackie Maxwell's tenure - completing Wilde's brilliant, scalpel-like study of the world around him.

Legendary scenic and costume designer, MICHAEL YEARGAN (currently represented on Broadway with Fiddler on the Roof and The King and I), and costume designer SUSAN TSU are among the 2016 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, May 20, at 6:30pm, at the Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street).  Ms. Tsu was selected to receive the 2016 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Yeargan will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. The awards are presented through Theatre Development Fund's Costume Collection.

Tuesday 15th March marks the 60th Anniversary of MY FAIR LADY's opening night on Broadway in 1956.  To celebrate the anniversary, producers Opera Australia and John Frost announced a release of new tickets to the Sydney season.

Lehmann Maupin is pleased to present Hernan Bas' Bright Young Things, the artist's fourth solo exhibition with the gallery, featuring new paintings on canvas and paper. Bas draws from a pool of references found in art, poetry, religion, mythology, film, and literature. In this recent series, he turns his attention specifically to 1920s London, and a group of young, bohemian aristocrats that emerged post-World War I. The artist will be present for an opening reception at the gallery on Thursday, March 10 from 6-8 PM.

The Costume Institute's Fall 2015 exhibition, Jacqueline de Ribes: The Art of Style, will focus on the internationally renowned style icon Countess Jacqueline de Ribes, whose originality and elegance established her as one of the most celebrated fashion personas of the 20th century. The exhibition will be on view in The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Anna Wintour Costume Center from today, November 19, 2015 through February 21, 2016.
