Edward Watts (Scandalous on Broadway; Superman in It's a Bird..Plane..It's Superman at Encores!), has signed on to join the cast of The Fantasticks, for two weeks only, right before its 56th anniversary on May 3, producers Al Parinello and Catherine Russell have announced. Mr. Watts will begin performances on Monday, April 28th and continue on in the role until Monday, May 12.

The Lortel Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00pm EST, and hosted by acclaimed husband and wife actors and comedians, Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman. The Off-Broadway League today announced details for the 2014 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The 29th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at NYU Skirball Center, beginning at 7:00pm EST. The program will be hosted by acclaimed husband and wife actors and comedians, Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman, who will appear on-stage together in the upcoming Off-Broadway production of Annapurna for The New Group. Veteran theater producer Robyn Goodman will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

A Carline Ray Jazz Memorial and Celebration of Life will take place at Saint Peter's Church, NYC today, Monday November 18, 2013 at 7pm.
Carline Ray, one of the great jazz pioneers, an activist in women's rights, a performer and educator, and an active member of Saint Peter's Church, died at Isabella House in Manhattan on July 18, 2013. She was 88 years old.
