New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW)'s 2014 Spring Gala honored Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff and President of The Dodgers Michael David on Monday night, May 12, at The Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel. Both are founding partners of Dodger Properties, which is responsible for over 150 productions of some of the most successful theatre on Broadway (56 Tony Awards), Off-Broadway and internationally. Bard SummerScape 2014 to Present World Premiere of LOVE IN THE WARS, 7/10-20

The Bard SummerScape festival is proud to present the world premiere of Love in the Wars, an adaptation of Heinrich von Kleist's romantic drama Penthesilea by the Booker Prize-winning novelist John Banville. Starring Obie Award-winner Birgit Huppuch and One Life to Live's Chris Stack, Bard's premiere production is by Ken Rus Schmoll, the Obie Award-winning director. Representing a fresh, playful and earthy take on Kleist's original, Love in the Wars will be presented in two previews and eight performances between July 10 and 20 in Theater Two of the Fisher Center - designed byFrank Gehry and celebrated since its opening as a major architectural landmark - on Bard's glorious Hudson Valley campus

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced that its 2014 Spring Gala will honor Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff and President of The Dodgers Michael David. Both are founding partners of Dodger Properties, which is responsible for over 150 productions of some of the most successful theatre on Broadway (56 Tony Awards), Off-Broadway and internationally. The gala will take place on Monday, May 12 at The Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel, beginning at 6:30pm.

Casting is announced for the four new plays of Midsummer Mischief - a festival inspired by the original ethos and spirit of The Other Place under the leadership of Buzz Goodbody. The plays will be performed in repertoire in a purpose-built temporary studio on the current Courtyard Theatre stage in Stratford-upon-Avon from 14 June - 12 July 2014, with a press day on the 21 June before all four plays transfer to the Royal Court Theatre

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, announces the lineup of productions for its 2014/15 Season. The year will include world-premiere plays and musicals that have been developed at the theater, including Your Blues Ain't Sweet Like Mine, a new play written and directed by Tony Award-winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson; and Be More Chill, a musical by Joe Iconis and Joe Tracz, adapted from the novel by Ned Vizzini and directed by Scott Ellis. The Arc Theatre follows last year's 4-star and critically acclaimed "Twelfth Night" with Shakespeare's witty and dangerous "Much Ado About Nothing." "Much Ado" represents Arc's fifth year in residence at Shakespeare on the Ridge, and will be performed July 12th through August 3rd, 2014, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7pm at Ridgeville Park, 908 Seward St in Evanston, IL. Admission is free. The show will run approximately 90 minutes

Berkeley Repertory Theatre welcomes back Pulitzer Prize winner Tony Kushner for the West Coast premiere of his latest play, The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures, an epic tale of love, family, sex, money, and politics. Kushner reunites with one of his favorite collaborators, Michael Leibert Artistic Director Tony Taccone, to bring this sweeping drama to the Roda Theatre. With his trademark mix of soaring intellect and searing emotion, the legendary writer unfurls a poignant story about an Italian family in Brooklyn. When retired longshoreman Gus Marcantonio decides to die, his kids come home with a raucous parade of lovers and spouses to find that even the house keeps secrets. A portrait of a dysfunctional family filled with weighty dialogue, humor, and passion, Kushner's four-act play previews Friday, May 16, opens on Wednesday, May 21, and runs through Sunday, June 29, 2014.

Red-Eye to Havre de Grace is by Lucidity Suitcase Intercontinental, created by Thaddeus Phillips, Jeremy Wilhelm, David Wilhelm, Geoff Sobelle, Sophie Bortolussi with Ean Sheehy and music by Wilhelm Bros. & Co. and direction and stage design by Thaddeus Phillips, Opening night is set for Thursday, May 1 at 7pm.
