NY Philharmonic Launches Worldwide Radio Broadcasts for April-June 2015

Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam; the Royal Concertgebouw; and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, David Robertson, Chief Conductor and Artistic Director - performed by violinist Leila Josefowicz, for whom it is written and dedicated. The concerts also include two early 20th-century Russian works, Stravinsky's Petrushka (original 1911 version) and Lyadov's The Enchanted Lake.

The Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival, which since 1984 has taken place every summer in the beautiful seaside setting of the island's East End, will inaugurate BCMF Spring with two Sunday concerts, on March 22 and April 26, 2015.

Lisa Batiashvili to Perform Barber in February at Avery Fisher Hall

The Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence Lisa Batiashvili will continue her tenure with performances of Barber's Violin Concerto, and The Marie-Jose?e Kravis Composer-in- Residence Christopher Rouse's tenure concludes with performances of Iscariot, the final work by Mr. Rouse to performed during his three-year tenure. David Zinman will conduct the program, which also includes Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2, Thursday, February 5, 2015, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, February 6 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, February 7 at 8:00 p.m.

The Park Avenue Chamber Symphony will be kicking off its 15th anniversary season with a pair of concerts featuring the world renowned clarinetist Stanley Drucker in a performance of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto. The New York Philharmonic Sets August 2014 Worldwide Radio Broadcasts

The August broadcasts of The New York Philharmonic This Week - the weekly radio series of concerts and recordings by the New York Philharmonic, hosted by Alec Baldwin -- begin with Music Director Alan Gilbert conducting the New York Philharmonic in the opening program of The Beethoven Piano Concertos: A Philharmonic Festival, featuring the 2014-14 season Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence Yefim Bronfman as soloist. Over the course of the three-week festival Mr. Bronfman performs the complete Beethoven Piano Concerto cycle as well as the Triple Concerto with Principal Cello Carter Brey and Concertmaster Glenn Dicterow in the final Philharmonic appearance of his 34-year tenure. The festival also features the World Premieres of Lyra by Anthony Cheung and Songs by Sean Shepherd, both commissioned by the New York Philharmonic as part of The Marie-Jose?e Kravis Prize for New Music, pairing the master composer's concertos with new commissions now entering the repertoire.
