The Sands Point Preserve Conservancy presents renowned singer-songwriters Suzanne Vega and Duncan Sheik on Sunday, September 25th at 5 p.m. on the magnificent Great Lawn overlooking the Long Island Sound. WP Theater welcomes Obie Award Winning actress Zainab Jah (Eclipsed) and rising actress Jessica Luck, joining two-time Grammy-nominated comedian Lisa Lampanelli (HBO, Comedy Central, The Howard Stern Show) and Outer Critics Circle Award winner Ann Harada (Avenue Q, Cinderella) in completing the cast for the world premiere of STUFFED, a new play written by Lampanelli, with additional material by Ashley Austin Morris.

Rehearsal photos have been released for the world premiere of Zoe Lewis's  BRITTEN IN BROOKLYN at Wilton's Music Hall. The play, based on true events, stars Sadie Frost as Gypsy Rose Lee, alongside Ruby Bentall, David Burnett, John Hollingworth and Ryan Sampson. Directed by Oli Rose, Britten in Brooklyn will play for a strictly limited season of 21 performances from 31 August to 17 September. Press night is 2 September.

Final casting and creatives have been announced for the world premiere of Zoe Lewis's 'Britten in Brooklyn' at Wilton's Music Hall.

As a part of Alley All New, the Alley Theatre announces two workshop presentations of the new musical in progress Lover, Beloved: An Evening with Carson McCullers on August 23 (7:30 p.m.) and August 26 (8:00 p.m.) in the Texas Room.

Set in Philadelphia - a comedy - an Italian American family - combining funerals, bookmakers, a bank robbery, family loyalty and disloyalty, embezzlement, family secrets and food, lots of food! The six roles will be played by Art Tedesco as Tony, Meredith Gray (his wife), Riley Carson Lewis (their son); Mary's two brothers will be played by Ed Chavez and Owen Reed, and Marc Lynch plays Danny, an enforcer for a local bookie.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the Chicago premiere of Stephen Adly Guirgis's 2015 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY, directed by ensemble member Yasen Peyankov, who also directed last season's critically acclaimed Grand Concourse. The rowdy dark comedy stars acclaimed London-born actor Eamonn Walker as ex-cop Pops and ensemble member James Vincent Meredith as his ex-con son Junior. Previews are currently underway for an opening night on July 10; the production runs through August 21, 2016 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre (1650 N Halsted St).
