The news was announced on Monday night by Carole Shorenstein Hays, live from the stage of the Curran, where the Tony-winning creative team appeared on-stage with Lieutenant Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, where they discussed details of the new national production of the musical.

Through the '10,000 Girls Campaign,' girls from the Tri-State area between ages 16 to 24, who would not otherwise have the opportunity to experience a Broadway show, will be given tickets to see Eclipsed.
Eclipsed makes history during Black History Month. Holding the special distinction of being led by the only two African-American lead producers on Broadway, Stephen Byrd and Alia Jones-Harvey, Eclipsed will be the first show in Broadway history with an entirely female cast and creative team, and further: an entirely Black cast and creative team.
