The Flea Theater will present the World Premiere of #serials@theflea, a raucous late night play competition featuring The Bats and some of NYC's hottest young playwrights.

The Flea Theater (www.theflea.org) will present the World Premiere of Creation Production Company's 'A WORLD APART' by Susan Mosakowski, with performances beginning on Friday, February 4th and the official opening set for Sunday, February 6th at 3:00 p.m. Jean Randich will direct the production, which will be performed at The Flea Theater, 41 White Street (between Broadway and Church Street).

The Flea Theater presents the New York Premiere of Trista Baldwin's AMERICAN SEXY January 15 - February 22

Count Dracula, the world's most famous vampire, returns to the New York stage in DRACULA by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston, based on the eponymous novel by Bram Stoker, began previews December 14, prior to its official press opening last night, January 5 at the Little Shubert Theatre (442 West 42nd Street). The Flea Theater presents On the Square Productions's World Premiere of Monroe, Illinois:to take place in December at their downstairs venue. On the Square Over Here/Townie Productions is an award winning 501(c)3 theatre company. Monroe, Illinois: Over Here/Townie is written by up and coming playwright Aaron Wigdor Levy (This Is Not a Time Bomb, Central). Levy is a member of The Public Theatre's Emerging Writers Group. Deborah Wolfson (Drums in the Night, Williamsburg: The Musical, America, A Problem Play) will direct. Monroe, Illinois: Over Here/Townie is written as two separate one-act plays. Both plays are set in fictional, working class town of Monroe, Illinois. Over Here revolves around a widowed matriarch, Patty, and her two children, Nora and Danny, all of whom are coping with the death of their husband/father who was killed in Iraq. Townie tells the story of one Woman through 30 years of her life, from her engagement to her marriage, the birth of her children, infidelity, and divorce. The deterioration of the traditional American family is the tie that binds.

Premiere Stages, the professional Equity theatre at Kean University, is excited to kick off the 2010/2011 Premiere Artists Series with a panel featuring New York Commercial Producers Pat Addiss, Larry Hirschhorn, and Carol Ostrow. The event will take place on Monday, November 29th at 3:15pm in the University Center Little Theatre, 1000 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ. Premiere Stages invites the public to attend this candid conversation about producing as a profession, the state of commercial theatre and the challenges of producing during a recession.

The Best of Broadway and Cabaret came out to support the Actors Temple (est. 1923) on Sunday, November 21, 2010. Located at 339 West 47th Street, this theater district landmark has fallen on hard times in recent years and so member, producer Randie Levine-Miller spoke to Rabbi Jill Hausman and said, 'Let's put on a musical -- benefit!' The rabbi was delighted, so Randie reached out to some of her theater and cabaret friends, and voila! The concert took place at the temple at 7:30 PM with 18 extraordinary (many award winning) performers: (in alphabetical order) Raissa Katona Bennett, Christina Bianco, Len Cariou, Douglas J. Cohen, Eric Comstock, Jamie deRoy, Barbara Fasano, Beth Fowler, Anita Gillette, Jackie Hoffman, George S. Irving, Alice Levine, Kurt Peterson, Wade Preston, Steve Ross, Cheryl Stern, Sal Viviano, Martin Vidnovic. Dennis Buck was the musical director. Producer Levine-Miller was the host the event. Legendary members of the congregation included: Joey Adams, Jack Benny, Milton Berle, Red Buttons, Eddie Cantor, George Jessel, Al Jolson, Sandy Koufax, Jack E. Leonard, Danny Lewis (Jerry's father), Joe E. Lewis, Tony Martin, Ritz Brothers, Edward G. Robinson, Sophie Tucker,William B. Williams, Shelly Winters, Henny Youngman.
