10 Years of Oz: A WICKED Anniversary Countdown- Opening Night Flashback!

On Wednesday, October 30th, the blockbuster musical, WICKED, will celebrate its 10th Anniversary on Broadway, a milestone achieved by only ten other Broadway productions in history. The creative team and many of the musical's previous cast members will celebrate WICKED's first decade with a special performance, followed by a company party, on October 30th at 7:00pm. BroadwayWorld will be counting down to the milestone with daily flashbacks of WICKED's biggest events, most memorable cast members, and best performances. On Wednesday, October 30th, the blockbuster musical, WICKED, will celebrate its 10th Anniversary on Broadway, a milestone achieved by only ten other Broadway productions in history. The creative team and many of the musical's previous cast members will celebrate WICKED's first decade with a special performance, followed by a company party, on October 30th at 7:00pm. In addition, special promotions and appearances will be scheduled throughout the month of October, in celebration of the show's enduring worldwide popularity.

Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters will host the 15th annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, sponsored by the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and additional sponsorship by the New York Times, BARKS will take place on Saturday, July 13 in Shubert Alley, the heart of the Broadway Theater District (located between 44th and 45thStreets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenues). The festivities begin at 3:30 p.m.; celebrity presentations of pets from animal shelters citywide will take place between 5-6:30 p.m. This year, BARKS will open the show with a performance from the Jersey Boysfollowed by the Broadway debut of many adoptable animals presented by many stars from this season's 'hottest' shows. In addition, Peters will be in Shubert Alley with famed illustrator/ author, Hilary Knight, the designer of this year's BARKS poster and Playbill cover.
