Keen Company is thrilled to announce that Broadway legends John Cullum and Tony Roberts will play two of the three roles in its upcoming production of the New York premiere of Heroes by Gerald Sibleyras with a translation by Tom Stoppard. Tony Award-winner John Cullum starred in Keen's critically acclaimed The Conscientious Objector, and currently plays the father in August: Osage County. Tony Roberts was most recently seen on Broadway in Xanadu. The two actors will be under the direction of Carl Forsman (A.D. of Keen Company). Heroes, playing from February 24 - April 11, received London's Olivier Award for Best Comedy in 2006.

Keen Company announced today that Tony Award-winner Ron Holgate (1776, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Grand Hotel, recent revivals of Kiss Me, Kate and Guys and Dolls) will join John Cullum and Jonathan Hogan for its upcoming production of Heroes, replacing previously announced Tony Roberts. Mr. Roberts has withdrawn from the production to attend to family matters. The New York Times reports that John Cullum and Tony Roberts will star in the Keen Company's production of HEROES. The play will be directed by Carl Forsman and will run from February 24, 2009 - April 11, 2009.

Opening night isn't exactly going smoothly for the Off-Off Broadway production of Love Child, a modern adaptation of the infrequently performed Euripides drama Ion, presented at the Sausage King Space in Red Hook. A noisy audience member in the front row can't silence her cell phone and hearing aid, an actor has passed out on stage, an upstaging diva is trying to steal the show and a large grease stain on the floor makes each entrance and exit a death-defying experience. But on opening night of Love Child, Daniel Jenkins and Robert Stanton's two-man comedy presented by Primary Stages, everything was crackling with hilarious split-second precision.
