New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players will present 'Patience' as part of the 2013-2014 Season along with 'Pirates of Penzance.'

The New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players, America's preeminent professional Gilbert & Sullivan repertory company, launches its G&S Fest 2013-14, presenting iconic classic productions of The Pirates of Penzance and Patience when the company returns to Symphony Space (2537 Broadway at 95th Street) on December 27th for a strictly limited engagement through January 5th. Meadow Brook Theatre welcomes director David Edwards, who was part of the 'By Jeeves' Broadway cast. 'I was offered the job of standby for four of the leading roles,' explained Edwards. 'I had a great time with the show and I'm excited to bring that experience here to Meadow Brook Theatre's stage. 'By Jeeves', I thought, deserved another look, beyond Broadway, in a more intimate setting. A series of happy coincidences brought me to this marvelous group of collaborators at this wonderfully enterprising theatre.'
