The Arvada Center presents the Colorado stage debut of Tarzan® The Stage Musical directed by Gavin Mayer on Friday, July11 (Please note the Friday opening date). Tarzan® The Stage Musical features music and lyrics by British pop icon Phil Collins (drummer and lead singer for rock group Genesis), and is written by David Henry Hwang (M. Butterfly, Aida). Tarzan® The Stage Musical is based on the Disney animated film and the original book by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Performances run through August 3. Check out a first look at highlights below!

Brenda Braxton, Jason C. Brown & More to Lead WIKIMUSICAL at NYMF, 7/18-26

WikiMusical with a Book and Lyrics by Frank Ceruzzi & Blake J. Harris; Music by Trent Jeffords is being presented at the New York Musical Theatre Festival with performances at PTC Performance Space (Pearl Theatre Company), 555 West 42nd Street, NYC. Performances will be: Friday, July 18 at 8pm; Saturday, July 19 at 5pm; Sunday, July 20 at 8pm; Tuesday, July 22 at 5:00 pm; and Saturday, July 26 at 9pm. The multi-talented cast of 12 will perform a dozen musical numbers. They are: Brenda Braxton (Spam King), Jason C. Brown (Narrator/Morgan Freeman), Trey Harrington (Kurt), Michael Mahany (Adam Levine/Mark Zuckerberg), Noah Marlowe (Young Peter), Alison Novelli (Jacqui), Heather Jane Rolff (Mrs. Oglesby), Lucas Schultz (Young Kurt), Barry Shafrin (Mittens McMittens/Emoticon), Adam B. The music of the late composer Dory Previn was celebrated at a gala for the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning Vineyard Theatre last night. Best-known as the writer of such hit songs as 'Theme from Valley of the Dolls,' 'Mary C. Brown and the Hollywood Sign,' 'With My Daddy in the Attic,' 'You're Gonna Hear from Me,' DORY PREVIN was a legendary figure as a pop-folk singer-song-writer in the 60's-70's and 80's. The Gala performance was directed by Rachel Chavkin (NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812), with musical direction by Jon Spurney. Milagro Receives $47,200 in Grants

In December 2013, Miracle Theatre Group aka Milagro, the Northwest's premier Latino arts and culture organization, was awarded 4 grants totaling $47,200 in support of arts & health education programming, capacity building, and arts residencies.

Alan Cumming, Billy Porter & More Set for Vineyard Theatre Gala on 2/24

The Vineyard Theatre will celebrate the songs of Dory Previn - the late pop/folk singer-songwriter whose numerous hits include "Come SaturdayMorning" and the theme from "Valley of the Dolls" - at its annual Gala Fundraiser on Monday, February 24th beginning at 6:30pm at the Edison Ballroom (240 W. 47 St in Manhattan), it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, Vineyard Theatre's Artistic Director and Sarah Stern, Co-Artistic Director. The Vineyard Gala will not only celebrate Ms. Previn's witty, heartbreaking and provocative songs, but will feature selections from her poems, plays and memoirs, as well.

MYTHBUSTERS Special DANGEROUS TOYS to Premiere this Weekend on Discovery Channel

After years of working together, Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage of MythBusters are finally squaring off against each other as they fabricate the necessary components to play an elaborate child's game of war. They will utilize ingenuity and innovation as they try to take each other down. DANGEROUS TOYS, an all-new one-hour special executive produced by Savage and Hyneman, will premiere Saturday, Jan. 11 at 9PM ET/PT.

PBS Airs A RAISIN IN THE SUN REVISITED Documentary Tonight

PBS' new performance documentary A RAISIN IN THE SUN REVISITED: THE RAISIN CYCLE AT CENTER STAGE explores the history and legacy of Lorraine Hansberry's groundbreaking 1959 play through the lens of a culturally significant milestone: the staging of two contemporary, issues-oriented plays that Raisin inspired: Bruce Norris's Tony Award-winning Clybourne Park and Beneatha's Place by Kwame Kwei-Armah, artistic director of the State Theater of Maryland, Baltimore's Center Stage. The program premieres tonight, October 25 at 9:00 p.m. ET on PBS (check local listings) as part of the PBS ARTS FALL FESTIVAL, which highlights artists and performances from around the country and invites every American into the worlds of music, theater, opera and cultural history.

Melba Moore and James Monroe Iglehart headline Gotham Hall Gala October 9

Tony-award winner and four-time Grammy nominee Melba Moore will perform at the Jericho Project 30th Anniversary Gala, The Way Home: 30 Years of New Beginnings on October 9th at Gotham Hall, New York. James Monroe Iglehart, star of the upcoming Disney production of Aladdin, will host the event directed by Nathan Brewer, featuring the J. Donald Dumpson singers.
