The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) and playwright Harrie Dobby are pleased to present the world premiere of THE GAP, directed by Jamie Biddle. Performances run tonight, August 14 @ 5 pm, Saturday, August 15 @ 7:15 pm, Sunday, August 16 @ noon, Monday, August 17 @ 7 pm and Tuesday, August 18 @ 2:15 pm at the Flamboyan Theatre at the Clemente, located at 107 Suffolk Street (between Rivington & Delancey). Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE), Chicago's only Equity theatre dedicated to producing new work with women at the core, announces the third production of its 20th Anniversary Season, the Chicago premiere of How the World Began, written by Catherine Trieschmann and directed by Keira Fromm. The production runs September 2-October 10, 2015, at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, 5779 N. Ridge Avenue in Chicago. The press opening is Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at 7:00pm.
Lyric Hammersmith Appoints Sian Alexander as New Executive Director

Today it is officially announced that Sian Alexander has been appointed the new Executive Director of the Lyric Hammersmith. She will officially take up the role from 5 October 2015. She succeeds Jessica Hepburn who is leaving the Lyric after nearly a decade as Executive Director to focus on her writing career and who, as her last act for the Lyric is swimming the English Channel to raise money for the theatre's work with disadvantaged children.

Up in Arms and Arcola Theatre today announce the full cast for the world premiere of Barney Norris's new play, Eventide. Alice Hamilton directsHasan Dixon (Mark), James Doherty (John) and Ellie Piercy (Liz). The production opens on 25 September at Arcola Theatre, with previews from 23 September, and runs until 17 October, ahead of a national tour to Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, The North Wall, Salisbury Playhouse and The Brewery, Bristol Tobacco Factory.

Evie Hone and Lizzie Wells will join Anna-Louise Knight and Lara McDonnell in the title role of the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical from Tuesday 15 September 2015. Joining the four actresses will be Michael Begley (Mr Wormwood), Miria Parvin (Miss Honey) and Rebecca Thornhill (Mrs Wormwood). Craige Els will continue in the role of Miss Trunchbull.
