TFANA's ABOUT ALICE Begins Jan 8

Theatre for a New Audience presents About Alice, the world premiere of a new play by Calvin Trillin, inspired by his 2007 memoir of the same name. The production, directed by Leonard Foglia, plays January 8-February 3, 2019 at Polonsky Shakespeare Center (262 Ashland Place, Brooklyn).

Yiddish FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Extends Run

National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) today announced that the highly anticipated American premiere of the Yiddish language Fiddler on the Roof, which began preview PERFORMANCES Off Broadway at the Museum of Jewish Heritage last week, will extend its run for an additional week through September 2 due to demand for tickets. The Press Opening takes place Sunday, July 15 and a VIP gala performance on Monday, July 16. Helmed by Academy Award and Tony Award winner Joel Grey, the acclaimed musical is being presented now for an 9-week limited engagement through September 2.

Storm Large with Le Bonheur at SOPAC 5/5: STORMY LOVE Celebrates American Songbook

Storm Large, along with her band Le Bonheur, returns to the stage at South Orange Performing Arts Center May 5 at 8 p.m. to enchant audiences with Stormy Love, her singular renditions of American songbook classics. Known for her passionate vocal interpretations and her sizzling stage presence, you will be "taken by Storm" as you experience this sublime and unique performer. After her performance, she will sit down for an interview in the Loft with NY1's Budd Mishkin.

The South Orange Performing Arts Center is celebrating a decade of presenting superb arts events to the region with a Gala on October 29, 6-11 p.m.  The iconic building, located at One SOPAC Way in the heart of the South Orange Village, will host the party in its theatre, loft and lobby areas.
