STT to Kick Off 2016 Season with MARTYR

Second Thought Theatre kicks off its 2016 season with an area premiere about religious fundamentalism gone wrong. Blake Hackler makes his STT directorial debut in this play by Marius von Mayenburg, which opens with previews on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 and runs through February 6. Second Thought Theatre to Close 2015 Season with OTHELLO

Second Thought Theatre closes its 2015 season with one of William Shakespeare's greatest tragedies, Othello. Joel Ferrell's intimate and immersive production starring Tyrees Allen in the title role opens with previews on Wednesday, July 15 and runs through Saturday, August 8. STT's BELLEVILLE Opens Tomorrow

Second Thought Theatre begins Belleville, the second show of its 2015 season, tonight with preview performances. Lee Trull returns to Second Thought Theater to direct this thrilling play about the choices people make and the subsequent ramifications. Belleville begins with previews tonight and runs through Saturday, June 13. 'HEDWIG,' THE NANCE & More Set for Uptown Players' 2015 Season

Uptown Players, a professional theater group located in the Uptown area of Dallas, has announced its 2015 season at the Kalita Humphreys Theater complex, which will feature the regional premiere of the 2013 Tony Award nominated play, The Nance, the professional area premiere of the 2011 Tony nominated musical Catch Me If You Can, the 2014 Tony award winning musical, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, plus a new play entitled Harbor, which just completed a successful off-broadway run. Uptown Players will also present its annual fundraising performance, this year entitled Christmas Our Way, which will be held in December 2014. Uptown Players will present Gilligan's Fire Island, another world premiere parody from the creator of Re-Designing Women and The Facts of Life this spring in the Rose Room Theater at S4.

STT Announces Kelsey Head as New Co-Artistic Director

Second Thought Theatre announced today that Kelsey Head will be the company's new Co-Artistic Director. Head, who joins current Co-Artistic Director Steven Walters, will begin work with STT immediately. This announcement comes as the company is preparing to announce its 2013 season.

Second Thought Theatre's THE BOMB-ITTY OF ERRORS Opens Tonight, 7/6

Second Thought Theatre presents The Bomb-itty of Errors, the final show in its eight season, at Bryant Hall on the Kalita Humphreys Campus. Amy Corcoran, making her STT debut, will direct this hip-hop retelling of Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors.
