Every year hundreds of D.C.-area military families must spend the Thanksgiving holiday away from loved ones. In gratitude for their service, Arena Stage is inviting wounded warriors, service men and women and their families to a complimentary dinner and performance of the musical comedy Anything Goes at the Mead Center for American Theater (1101 Sixth Street, SW) on Friday, November 23. Since the first Military Thanksgiving in 2011, Arena Stage has served nearly 1,500 military members and their families with the annual event.

After a seven-year hiatus, Playwrights 6 is pleased to announce its return to the stage with the world premiere production of G. Bruce Smith's 'Where the Dead Men Lost Their Bones' Nov. 9-17 in Hollywood.

JOHN LYDON's PUBLIC IMAGE LTD (PiL) will launch THE PUBLIC IMAGE IS ROTTEN: NORTH AMERICAN TOUR, to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the pioneering group. In celebration of their 40th Anniversary, JOHN LYDON's PUBLIC IMAGE LTD (PiL) have announced a flurry of activity for 2018 including a worldwide tour, a career-spanning boxset and the theatrical release of a brand-new documentary film on the band. MVD Entertainment Group has struck a deal with UK production and sales outfit Moviehouse Entertainment to bring the music-themed documentary HERE TO BE HEARD: THE STORY OF THE SLITS to North America. 

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater will present the American Voice Award to Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) on Thursday, February 8, 2018 as part of the opening night celebration for Robert Schenkkan's political drama The Great Society. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., the evening will include a cocktail reception in the Bank of America Lower Lobby, seated dinner in the Molly Smith Study, the 8:00 p.m. opening night performance of The Great Society in the Fichandler Stage and post-show dessert reception in the Grand Lobby. The seated dinner will feature the presentation of the American Voice Award to Senator Lisa Murkowski.
