In celebration of their 40th Anniversary, JOHN LYDON's PUBLIC IMAGE LTD (PiL) have announced a flurry of activity for 2018 including a worldwide tour, a career-spanning boxset and the theatrical release of a brand-new documentary film on the band. 'THE PUBLIC IMAGE IS ROTTEN: NORTH AMERICAN TOUR' will visit 18 major cities beginning Oct. 9 in New Orleans and ending Nov. 6 in Mexico City (all dates below). Directed byTabbert Fiiller and released by Abramorama, the film will make its North American theatrical premiere on Friday, September 14 in New York City at Metrograph with more theatrical dates in October-November to coincide with PiL's North American fall tour. Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater will present the American Voice Award to Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) on Thursday, February 8, 2018 as part of the opening night celebration for Robert Schenkkan's political drama The Great Society. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., the evening will include a cocktail reception in the Bank of America Lower Lobby, seated dinner in the Molly Smith Study, the 8:00 p.m. opening night performance of The Great Society in the Fichandler Stage and post-show dessert reception in the Grand Lobby. The “highest court in the land” just took on a new meaning in “The High Court,” a new Comedy Central series from comedian Doug Benson, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Comedy Central. Set to premiere in early 2017, “THC,” is a fifteen-minute strip series featuring “Judge Doug” as he gets high and rules on real small claims court cases. Executive produced by Benson, Bruce Smith, JASH's Daniel Kellison and Propagate's Ben Silverman, Howard Owens and Kevin Healey, “The High Court” concept is loosely born from Benson and JASH's popular YouTube show, “Getting Doug with High.”
