With a good idea for a comedy routine or TV show, those inner talents that are dying to be discovered can be honed with a little help from the experts who will be teaching some unique adult ed workshops at The Ridgefield Playhouse. First up is comedienne Christine O'Leary's Comedy Writing Workshop for would-be comedians on Mondays March 3 thru April 14, from 7 - 9 p.m., followed by a "graduation showcase" at The Ridgefield Playhouse. Next is "Introduction to Screenwriting with Katie Torpey", for people who dream of turning a movie idea into a bona fide screenplay, on Tuesdays from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. starting March 25 thru May 20. Comedienne Christine O'Leary will teach stand-up comedy writing and guarantees that all students will be funny, without risk of not being laughed at, every Monday night for eight weeks. Students will learn the fundamentals of comedy writing and performance concluding with a comedy graduation show at The Ridgefield Playhouse. Everyone will pass with flying colors. Christine O'Leary is a social worker, project manager, social media editor and professional award-winning comedienne whose humor takes her to stages all over the country.
