TACT/The Actors Company Theatre (Scott Alan Evans, Cynthia Harris and Jenn Thompson, Co-Artistic Directors), the critically-acclaimed company 'dedicated to presenting neglected or rarely produced plays of literary merit,' and named 'Company of the Year' by Terry Teachout of The Wall Street Journal, is pleased to announce the cast and creative team for Beyond Therapy, the hilarious comedy by Christopher Durang, the modern master of the outrageous and absurd (and recipient of the 2013 'Best Play' Tony Award for Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike). The spring production of the company's 21st Season directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Scott Alan Evans will begin performances at Theatre Row'sBeckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Opening night is set for Tuesday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m. Performances will continue through April 19, 2014.

The American Foundation For Arts Education presented its annual National Arts Star Awards on November 20 in a Star-Studded Gala at The Helene Galen Performing Arts Center in Rancho Mirage. Among the honorees, James Nederlander was presented with The Legacy Award for creating The National High School Musical Theatre Awards and his ongoing commitment to arts education. Wayward son Will Connelly, heir to the famous Connelly estate finds himself unable to live up to the prestige of the legendary Connelly's of the past. When a new tenant farmer arrives with his daughter Patsy, is it love at first site or does she have her calculating eyes on becoming the new Mrs. Connelly? The struggle between tradition and change, black and white and truth versus secrets come to a shocking conclusion. Though the Group made Mr. Green rewrite the ending to make it more hopeful, the ReGroup will be presenting Mr. Green's original ending. It is sure to be jaw dropping even after 80 years.
The New York Public Library has announced its upcoming free events celebrating its Al Hirschfeld Exhibit 'THE LINE KING'S LIBRARY' at the Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. The exhibition showcases NYPL's vast collection of Hirschfeld's work on display, honoring the iconic artist's relationship with the library. The show is on view now through January 4, 2014.
