Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today that individual tickets for Monty Python's Spamalot and Rock of Ages will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012. Tickets will be sold online through HennepinTheatreTrust.org, in person at the State Theatre Box Office, by calling 1.800.982.2787 or visiting a Ticketmaster Ticket Center.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and PNC Broadway Across America-Pittsburgh announce STOMP, the international sensation, is making its triumphant return to Pittsburgh's Heinz Hall, 600 Penn Avenue, tonight, October 30 through Sunday, November 4, 2012. The return of the percussive hit also brings some new surprises, with some sections of the show now updated and restructured and the addition of two new full-scale routines, utilizing props like tractor tire inner tubes and paint cans.

As BroadwayWorld first reported, a reading is currently taking place for SOAP DISH THE MUSICAL, directed by Rob Ashford, with a book by Robert Harling, music by George Stiles and Lyrics by Anthony Drewe. The cast of includes Kristin Chenoweth, John Stamos, Jane Krakowski, Cristin Milioti, Anne L. Nathan, Michael Park, Miriam Shor and Daniel Torres. At this time there has been no formal announcement, or set timetable for the show. The reading is being presented by Laurence Mark, Donald De Line and Broadway Across America.

Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today that individual tickets for Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the musical about three friends on the road trip of a lifetime, will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012. Called "a rollicking crowd-pleaser in sequins" by Variety, Priscilla will make its national tour debut at the Trust's Orpheum Theatre January 8-13, 2013. Beginning at 10 a.m., tickets will be sold online through HennepinTheatreTrust.org, in person at the State Theatre Box Office or by calling 1.800.982.2787 or visiting a Ticketmaster Ticket Center. It is part of Hennepin Theatre Trust's 2012/13 Broadway Across America-Minneapolis Season. Press opening night will be Wednesday, January 9.

Deadline.com reports that a deal is now in place for Belle Pictures and the Mark Gordon Company to head a film adaption of Memphis at Warner Brother's Aclon Entertainment.
The film will be produced by Mark Gordon, Molly Smith and Alcon's Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson with a new script by Tony-winner Joe DiPietro.

SHREK fans are invited to submit a photo of fairytale character "Gingy" at one of their favorite destinations during Omaha Performing Arts' "Gingy" photo contest. Photos of "Gingy" will be accepted via Twitter (Hash tag: #GingyInOmaha) and Facebook, September 21 through October 1. The public will vote for their favorite photo via Facebook from October 1 through October 12. The person submitting the winning entry will receive four tickets to SHREK THE MUSICAL for opening night at the Orpheum Theater, Tuesday, October 23. "Gingy" is one of several fairytale characters audiences will see during SHREK THE MUSICAL, which will continue performances through Sunday, October 28. The production is part of the Omaha Performing Arts' Broadway series.
Sergio Trujillo to Take Over for Benjamin Millepied as Choreographer for Broadway-Bound HANDS ON A HARDBODY

The producers of the new musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY announced today that Benjamin Millepied has withdrawn from the production due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts and that, going forward, Sergio Trujillo (Memphis, Jersey Boys) will assume musical staging responsibilities for the show. Theatre, dates, and ticket information for the Broadway production of HANDS ON A HARDBODY will be announced shortly.
