The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County marks its 2012-2013 Box Office Opening on September 7 and 8 with more than 40 new shows on sale to the public for the first time, including Les Miserables, Flamenco Festival Miami, Boston Pops, Savion Glover and more! The event-filled weekend also marks the launch of the Center's new interactive Choose-Your-Own-Seat Program, which allows website users to view and select from available seats in the price points and location of their preference.

Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' MAMMA MIA!, the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, returns to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center August 2012. Performances begin tonight, August 21 and run through Sunday, August 26 at the Fox Cities P.A.C.

Based on the hit DreamWorks film and the incredible true story that inspired it, the first national tour of the high-flying Broadway musical CATCH ME IF YOU CAN will land in San Antonio at the Majestic Theatre for eight performances October 23-28. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, August 17.

A new casting notice has gone out for both an upcoming fall developmental lab of the Broadway-bound HANDS ON A HARDBODY, as well as the upcoming Broadway production, which aims to begin rehearsals in January of 2013. This fits with the previously announced news that the La Jolla Playhouse production would be heading to Broadway this coming season.

Disney's THE LION KING is celebrating its third smash engagement in Houston, which concluded on Sunday, August 12 presented by Broadway Across America and the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. The triumphant five-week return grossed over $7.2 million at the box office and entertained more than 100,000 patrons during 40 performances.

Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today that flexible ticket packages including productions from the 2012/13 Broadway Across America-Minneapolis Season will go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday, August 15 at 10 a.m. Shear Madness and Monty Python's Spamalot have been added as season specials as well as Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida, a co-production in partnership with Theater Latte Da. Aida, directed by the acclaimed Peter Rothstein, which runs January 3-27, 2013 at the Pantages Theatre. Shear Madness will be at the Pantages, February 27-March 17, 2013 and Spamalot at the Orpheum Theatre, March 15-16, 2013.

Casting has been announced for the Pittsburgh engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, playing the Benedum Center on Tuesday, September 4, through Sunday, September 23, 2012. The cast of JERSEY BOYS will be led by Brandon Andrus (Nick Massi), Colby Foytik (Tommy DeVito), Jason Kappus (Bob Gaudio) and Brad Weinstock (Frankie Valli) as The Four Seasons, with Barry Anderson and Thomas Fiscella.

Broadway In Boston has announced that the return engagement of MARY POPPINS has been cancelled due to the re-routing of the tour. Previously announced for May 2013, the recent change in the show's road itinerary prevents the production from arriving in Boston as originally scheduled. Broadway in Boston continues to work with the show's booking agents with the hopes of bringing this joyful and stunning production back to Boston at a later time.

On Thursday, September 20, The Broadway League and Coalition of Broadway Unions andGuilds (COBUG) will present the third-annual "Broadway Salutes," an industry-wide celebration to honor those who make Broadway great.

The national tour of The Addams Family, a new musical based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, will make its Pennsylvania premiere in Pittsburgh tonight, July 31 and play through Sunday, August 12, 2012, at the Benedum Center as part of the Pittsburgh CLO summer season and PNC Broadway Across America-Pittsburgh 2011-12 series.

The producers of the 2010 Tony Award-winning Best Musical MEMPHIS announced today that the production will recoup its $12 million investment as of its final performance on Broadway on Sunday, August 5, 2012 after 30 previews and 1,166 regular performances. MEMPHIS opened on October 19, 2009 at Broadway's Shubert Theatre (225 W. 44th Street), having begun previews on September 23rd.

Producers of the 2012 Tony Award Winner for Best Revival of a Musical, The Gershwins' PORGY AND BESS, have announced that the show will conclude its limited engagement at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Sunday, September 23, 2012. The show, which had been twice extended, was originally scheduled to end a week later. The new date has been set to make room for the next engagement at the Rodgers, beginning October 4, 2012.

THE LION KING definitely roared into Houston.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust hosts the annual Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh, the Cultural District's biggest summer celebration today, July 13, 2012. The party will take at the former Bally's building at 119 Sixth Street, downtown Pittsburgh, immediately following the Cultural Trust's Gallery Crawl. VIP ticket buyers will also be treated to exclusive Gallery Crawl watering holes as they journey through the Cultural District before the doors open to the main event.

Disney Theatrical Productions and Gexa Energy Broadway at the Hobby Center previously announced the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING to Houston. The show leaps onto the Hobby Center stage tonight, July 10 for a limited engagement of five weeks through Sunday, August 12. THE LION KING's sold-out eight-week Houston premiere engagement in 2002 at Jones Hall was followed by a sold-out six-week return engagement in 2006 at the Hobby Center.
