A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will be available through the month of October when The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, in partnership with Drew University, presents a "double-bill" experience for students and adults. From October 6th - 30th, a single copy of the original First Folio, one of the world's most valuable, rare and influential books will be on public display at Drew University's Mead Hall. The renowned Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington D.C. launched an historic tour of the book in early 2016 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death.

Exit the King is now on stage at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) through August 28th. This enthralling show is by Romanian-French writer Eugene Ionesco, translated by Donald Watson with absolutely splendid direction by the theatre's Artistic Director, Bonnie J. Monte.

One of Shakespeare's best-loved history plays, Henry V, opened Friday July 23 at Maine's Theater at Monmouth in a stylish and stirring performance directed by Mark Mineart. Trimmed to a little over two hours, the production, nonetheless, keeps the architecture of the masterpiece and all the most famous speeches, and performed as it is by a strong ensemble, it achieves an immediacy and truthfulness.

The Wheelhouse Theater Company, fresh off the heels of it's critically acclaimed production of Julius Caesar this past spring, and under the direction of Founding Artistic Director Jeffrey Wise, has announced that it will stage a searing and imaginative production of ROMEO AND JULIET, Thursday, June 23rd through July 9th at the Davenport Theatre's Black Box Theatre, 354 West 45th Street. Portland Stage has produced the three-character work in a stylish ninety-minute production that moves with subtlety and restraint toward Asher Lev's coming of age as an artist and a son.

The Wheelhouse Theater Company, a new theater company dedicated to transformative, joyful and essential works, has announced that it will present a dynamic, bloody production of William Shakespeare's JULIUS CAESAR, Wednesday, March 2nd through Sunday, March 12th at the Davenport Theatre, 354 West 45th Street.
