The UC San Diego Department of Theatre and Dance presents The Implicit Self, a continuous dance practice in which director Veronica Santiago Moniello destabilizes space by redirecting the iconography that possesses her way of moving. Based on Moniello's last research, 'The Origin of an Implicit Body Language,' which was developed during the summer of 2016 in Venezuela and supported by CILAS, Center for Latin American & Caribbean Studies and Fundacion Androginos from Merida, Venezuela, the performance is an ongoing process of experimentation.
