This will be Smith's first time hosting the Oscar(R) pre-show. Menounos hosted the red carpet show for the 76th Academy Awards and Roberts and Gunn hosted the arrivals show two years ago for the 81st Academy Awards.

According to Nielsen Media Research data, more than 9.6 million Americans tuned in to 'Nightly' for the week ending December 19, 2010, as the NBC broadcast delivered +1.383 million more than ABC 'World News,' 8.275 million and +3.441 million more than CBS 'Evening News' 6.217 million. 'Nightly' has won for 66 consecutive weeks, and in 113 of the past 114 weeks in total viewers. On Monday night, 'Nightly' delivered over 10.8 million total viewers-its biggest single day delivery since Nov. 26, 2010. 'Nightly' has now topped ABC 'World News' by over 1 million viewers for seven consecutive weeks. Season-to-date, 'Nightly' leads 'World News' by +1,137,000 total viewers.

Season-to-date, 'Nightly' leads 'World News' by +1,118,000 total viewers. This is the sixth consecutive week that the NBC News program has topped ABC 'World News' by over 1 million viewers.

America's number-one evening newscast, 'NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,' will expand its senior leadership team, executive producer Bob Epstein announced today. For the very first time, NBC 4 New York will televise live coverage of the New York City Veterans Day Parade which airs Thursday, November 11th from 12:00PM - 2:00PM on WNBC/Channel 4. The theme for this year's parade is 'Freedom is not Free.' The parade is organized by the United War Veteran's Council.
